School groups

Classes for school groups from Kindergarten to Grade 4.

An opportunity for children from Kindergarten to Grade 4 to explore their surroundings more in depth through experiential learning. Classes are designed with the curriculum in mind. A specific topic  can be requested.

Our local surroundings are brimming with treasures. Give your class the opportunity to explore, become more connected and gain knowledge about the ecology of Vancouver and surrounding areas. There are many ecosystems to explore in our urban areas, from marshland, streams and ponds to forests and shoreline.

The classes are run by Lisa, who has been teaching in and around Vancouver for over 15 years who has an extensive knowledge of the plants and animals that reside in these wondrous ecosystems. Each class will run for 2 hours. The children will participate in discussion,  games, observation, hands-on exploration of their surroundings and investigation of the various artifacts that are related to the topic or subject.

Lisa regularly takes the children in junior kindergarten, kindergarten, and grades one–three from Our Lady of Perpetual Help school in Vancouver out into the parks to adventure, covering topics found in the curriculum.

They also run pro-d days and summer adventures for the Vancouver Society Of Children Centres.

Classes run rain or shine unless there is a weather warning from Environment Canada.

The fee is $180. Refunds are only given if Lisa has to cancel class. If a class is cancelled due to the weather, another date will be set.
